Pure Magnesium

Magnesium, a light silvery-white metallic element of the alkaline earth series, occuring principally in magnesite, dolomite and carnallite: used in light structural alloys. Symbol: Mg; atomic no.:12; atomic wt.: 24.312; valency: 2; relative density: 1.738; melting point: 651ˇăC; boiling pt.: 1107ˇăC; crystal structure: close packed hexagonal (a=3.2030 c= 5.2002)

Magnesium is the world's lightest structural metal. Occurring naturally in the form of various compounds, the principal ores of magnesium are dolomite, magnesite and carnallite. Magnesium also exists in nature as the chloride in seawater, underwater brines and salt deposits.

At Gena, we produce the high purity commercial magnesium in controlled batches of known and consistent chemistry in the world. This enables us to offer a guaranteed certificate of analysis for each shipment.

Our products include: 99.9%, 99.95% and 99.98% grades of magnesium
